ATLANTA (CBS46) –
Scattered rain and a few storms will continue in Atlanta throughout Monday.
What to expect
It won’t be a wash out, but waves of rain will continue to move through metro Atlanta and north Georgia. While it will be mostly rain, isolated storms will also be possible.
A wind advisory remains in effect for metro Atlanta until Monday morning. As of Sunday night, we’ve seen sustained winds of more than 20 mph. A combination of rain and gusty winds will increase the risk of trees coming down.
A flood watch also remains in effect for Atlanta through Monday afternoon. About 2 inches of rain will be possible in Atlanta through Tuesday with higher amounts in the northeast Georgia mountains.
